In 1984, he opened a directly managed sales store, Kaiyodo Gallery, in Kayabacho, Tokyo. Concentrating on in-house development, manufacturing, and sales, he became an original figure manufacturer.
Since then, the focus has been on characters from existing comics and anime.

Based on the idea of creating new things, fun things, rare things, interesting things, things that can't be found anywhere else, and even better things, we created figures one after another based on subjects that no one had imagined.
The word "figure" was once only recognized as a skating event, but thanks to Kaiyodo's sophisticated products, it has become a term used to describe precise three-dimensional objects. Since its start as a small model shop in Osaka, the company has gained attention from all over the world for its elaborate and dynamic modeling, and has grown into a company that has led the culture of figures.
We are developing our company from a unique stance in which creators are directly responsible for planning and concepts, with the main staff consisting of people who actually create the models and prototypes.
His unique and realistic modeling expressions have many fans and collectors, and in particular, he sparked a huge candy toy boom that has become a social phenomenon, and adults now appreciate his figurines that had previously been regarded as maniacs. We have elevated it to something worthy of collection. Since then, we have actively collaborated with many companies, organizations, and facilities, establishing the ``museum figure'' industry that covers a variety of fields including cultural properties, and the ``figure maker'' group, which includes works by sculptors that have reached the realm of art. As the first idea maker that comes up with the idea of ``If...'', we have become the figure maker with the number one mind share among consumers.
Looking ahead to the future, we will continue to further refine the sensibilities and skills of all our staff, and uphold our current catchphrase, "The things we can create are as infinite as the number of twinkling stars in the night sky," as we strive to create world-class products. We will continue to.
