This reissued RC10 Team Car comes with many improved features of the RC10 that you have been looking forward to!

Originally released back in 1990, the RC10 Team Car was an upgraded version of the base model RC10 Championship Edition (6011), which was also released that same year. The RC10 Team Car was the latest state-of-the-art, 2WD off-road racing buggy in the world and was the first RC10 to feature the Stealth ATC Transmission, hard anodized shocks with PTFE coating, and updated suspension geometry.

At the 1990 Off-Road ROAR Nationals, Team Associated finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd using these new parts. Cliff Lett took first place at the Nationals, which didn’t surprise anyone, but the big surprise was Brent Wallace and J.D. Beckwith, who finished 2nd and 3rd at the first race using the new Stealth transmission! There were many similar reports of equal success from racers worldwide after using the Stealth transmission in their older RC10’s. Later, some of these parts would eventually be included in the RC10 Team Car kit.

RC10 Team Car Technology

Team Associated’s RC10 has won more National and World Championships than any other RC car. Our new RC10 was engineered to give RC racers the latest in team-developed components. Without altering any of its legendary competition features, like our custom, oil-filled shocks, Stealth ATC transmission, and flex-proof alloy monocoque, the RC10 incorporates subtle changes designed specifically for the competition driver. This eliminates the need to purchase aftermarket components of questionable reliability and availability to modify an RC10.

The Front Suspension

The redesigned front suspension of the RC10 features a wider front track, combined with zero offset steering blocks giving the RC10 more high-speed stability and better tracking. Other advantages are quicker steering response and faster turn-in to cut tighter lines through sharp corners.

The RC10 front suspension uses front shock towers with additional mounting positions for extended travel and progressive spring rate adjustment, which allows the spring rate to be adjusted for individual tracks and driving styles. In addition, quick-release spring retainers and turnbuckles are used throughout to make suspension changes easier and more precise.

Rear Suspension & Gearbox

For that extra added stability under power, the RC10 incorporates an adjustable rear toe-in. Using rugged suspension mount blocks, you can select 0 or 3.0-degree toe-in.

And to get every last bit of power to the wheels, the RC10 uses hardened universal drive shafts. Team Associated’s low-inertia 3-gear Stealth ATC Transmission is also included, features 48 pitch gears with a 2.25 final drive ratio, steel ball bearings, quick-change spur gear, long-life clutch friction plate, large area/high torque clutch plates, and high torque ball differential with steel balls.

The monocoque

The nearly indestructible monocoque of the RC10 has proven to be the most durable and versatile chassis for an RC car.

The RC10 monocoque is incredibly strong and impervious to flexing. It is deep drawn from lightweight T6 aircraft alloy and heat-treated for additional strength. The smooth bottom of the monocoque glides easily over rough terrain, and the high sides keep out debris and strengthen the chassis.

The Wheels & Tires

A one-piece wheel design has been included with the RC10. These racing wheels are lighter than the three-piece design, are sized to fit low-profile tires, and are precision molded in virgin nylon for optimum strength and concentricity.

Team Associated ribbed front tires and medium compound, spiked rears keep the RC10 hooked upon most off-road racing surfaces. Team Associated tires are molded from special long-wear, high-traction formulas.
