The Tamiya DF platform is possibly one of the more important chassis from Tamiya. Not only new, and 4WD, but it would also become the forefather of the Tamiya TA-range of chassis. The Tamiya DF01 chassis is a sleek bathtub chassis with independent suspension and CVA shocks. The chassis has a large span in use, from the relatively simple Manta Ray to the highly developed Top Force Evo. The Tamiya DF-chassis was re-released in 2005 and onward in form of the Manta Ray, the Top Force and some rally configurations.
