I was really pleased with these. I got them for my Twin Detonator and they gave me the suspension travel that should have been there out of the box. I used 100mm shocks - Yeah Racing (#DP-1007TI) 100mm Damper Set (TI) for 1:8 Buggy (2pcs) -. You could use longer shocks but I think your dog bones wll be more likely to pop out and in my opinion if you only run on tarmac, jump a lot or run hot motors you might be better off with slightly shorter shocks.

An excellent product which allows the use of much longer shocks on your truck. I use e-maxx oil shocks on my truck spaced out with 3mm spacers so the shocks have proper working area. Also find it is better to use much longer threaded screws with 3mm lock nuts to hold the towers onto the truck. Simply go threw the top 2 holes of the stock plastic towers and mount these with the longer 20mm screws & 3mm lock nuts so the towers will never loosen up if under severe load. Also shock towers have several holes to mount shocks, and you can also mount different body posts if you wish to change your stock body. Much superior design over the stock parts. Not only fits dual motor trucks like the dualhunter, twin detonator and double blaze, but they can also be used on a blackfoot xtreme, mighty bull or overlander especially if you wish to change the original body to something else.

Oh and I forgot to mention I e-mailed Yeah racing about which length shocks to use and they said anything from 80-100mm is fine, however I got anxious and bought the 110mm ones before I got a response, which worked fine.

I love this shock tower relocation kit, the only bad thing about it is that they didn't give you anything to screw the top shock screws in, the top of the tower is not threaded and there are no nuts that come in the kit. So you will end up needing 3mm x .50 thread pitch nuts to make these work, or you can do what I did, which is take apart the old plastick shocks and use the bottom parts that the shaft screw goes into and use those as the nuts. The only thing you need to be careful of is that you make sure that you leave room for the movement associated with the the shock travel. So you may want to buy longer 3x.5 screws and put a washer on both sides and double nut it so that the nut won't back out.
