Team X-Ray has rocked the world of micro RC cars with their M-18 and they definitely wants you to be able to get your M-18 up and running in an snap with their Power Pack Pro. This Power Pack is designed not only for weekend bashing but for racing too. Space on the M-18 is very limited and so, X-Ray designed the package to make the best use of the very cramped space. Other than a receiver and transmitter, everything you need to finish off your M-18 is included in this package. Though the electronics may be tiny, but Team X-Ray leave nothing off the tables as far features are concern. I have “inherited” a M-18 from a friend who has quit RC and upgraded it with the X-Ray Pro Graphite chassis. Upon receiving the package via the post, the package features include the following :
The ESC is with reverse and high frequency for cool operation, fully proportional forward, brake and reverse, battery-eliminator circuit (BEC) and the ability to handle 4 to 6 cells are all packaged inside this ESC which only measures approximately 30x10x15mm. That’s about half the size of a normal “small” ESC. This ESC could handle motors from stock 180 series up to upgraded 300 series such as Team Orion Big Block.
The motor provided is a 300 series motor similar to Team Orion’s Big Block and it is wicked fast out of the box !!
The micro XMS01 MG servo has metal gears and this little baby could handle some decent punishment without puking up its insides the first time you knock into something. It turns at 0.12second and a decent 32oz/ inch of torque from this micro 30x12x30mm.
The battery pack is made out of 6 2/3A NiMH Intellect cells in side by side configuration for a perfect fit onto the X-Ray M18 Pro Graphite chassis. This battery pack puts out 7.2volts and holds 1400MAh which gives you a long running time of 30 minutes !!. To make installation easy, the battery pack comes wired with standard micro-connector similar to the ones used on the HPI Micro RS4 that plugs into the ESC ..
