i use this on a keen hawk. as being a tamiya part it is very well crafted and of course fits beautifully on the buggy. i modded the hawk body slightly to improve the heat dissipation. i made several small holes with a pin vise where the scoop is above the hood to let air flow in and through the heatsink. time will tell when i finally go brushless if they are truly effective however, i don't think tamiya would have gone to the trouble of making such a nice part if it didn't help your motor out. slightly a pain to install. there isn't enough room to install the third one sits next to the motor. you have to remove the motor unless your clever enough to slide it in. i had to remove the motor. and having larger hands ended up having to remove the motor plate as well. recommend thread lock for this application so they don't get lost. would be much easier if this was installed during kit assembly to avoid a small headache like having to re mesh your gears. overall looks really nice on the buggy. it does sort of stand out because i don't have any of the other blue matching parts. which i do plan on purchasing.
