the best 23t brushed motor i have ever owned.great brush life, lots of torque from low revs. it made me sell my tz and in my opinion a better motor for drifting and bashing than a tz.
rz rpm limit 27,500
tz rpm limit 26,500
This motor is a brushed motor so be aware that some time you will need to change the burned brusses. Its a great first upgrade from your stock motor or the light super tuned motor or the 540 spor tuned motor. Its definately faster that the previous motors but not faster than the tamiya super stock motor TZ witch is the fastest among the tamiyas brushed motors. The good thing about all these motor inclusiv this one as well is that you dont need to change your electronic spped control ESC because they can work perfectly with the stock ESC as long as your stock is brushed. All tamiya tt-01 models included type E type D or type R work with brushed stock motors. So its a cheap and easy way to upgrade but dont forget to replace the bearings before assemble this motor. My advice is to buy along w..
I bought this motor few months ago to replace my stock silvercan 540 motor. Beside the 'Tamiya' brand this motor sure is a good motor upgrade. Unlike some motor with cheap looking cover, this motor sure looks great. The motor has smaller size compare to my stock motor and a bit lighter. Beside that, you'll have longer playing time compare to stock and the motor does make quieter sound. What impressed me the most is it has built in capacitor. There is no need for extra capacitor soldering. It is easy to take apart for cleaning. well, the downside, it is brushed so you have to change the brushes when the time comes.
