Feature:

The Mercedes-Benz Unimog's body is made from lightweight polycarbonate material.

CR-01 chassis features a heavy-duty ladder frame with strong lightweight pressed aluminum channels and cross channels

4 link coil suspension provides the flexibility needed to conquer difficult rocky terrain.

Center gearbox features planetary gears with a compact design enabling the battery to be mounted lower for a better center of gravity.

Newly designed 3-piece beadlock wheels mounted with massive 125mm diameter and 6mm wide rock crawler tires are ready for any terrain.

It seems that it is another Norwegian Unimog owner here, too! My Unimog arrived a week ago and some days later the 3Racing alu hopup combo kit arrived. The alu parts are very nice on the car, but I was surprised by alu parts only for the front shaft and suspension. I had to order some more parts to complete the car, and I have also planned to mount a straight rear axle. The car is very nice, but the kit was a bit difficult to build. I have build about 400 cars during the last 30 years. I painted the body work orange with some black and silver details. To Arild: Dette er en meget fin bil, men noe komplisert chassis. Det er heldigvis enkelt å ta ut gearkasse og motor, 4 skruer må tas ut så ramler hele enheten ned. Kan trygt anbefale 3Racing sin alu combo kit, den gjør seg på bilen. Kunne tenke meg lit stivere fjærer på bilen, både de originale og de i alu kitet er litt for myke. Det kan lønne seg å montere stright axle bak så får du ryddet opp litt i jungelen med stag og spindler på bakakselen, med mindre du da ikke skal ha 4WS på bilen.

I love my CR01 Unimog! Scale crawler are great fun and this looks amazing going over rocks and rough stuff. Overall the instructions are great as always with Tamiya, same with build quality. The drivetrain is heavy duty and takes a good beating. After building my kit i found out the dampers leaked, i rebuild them and they still leak. A friend also got a CR01 (Toyota) and his dampers also leak, to fix it i ordered the hop up dampers from Tamiya and they are great. There are no leaks and the preformance of the whole car got better also. Great kit with great scale apperance!
