I have both a NT18 with powerpack and the NT18T (Stadium Truck version). These are extremely fun machines to build and drive, and because they are so fast despite their size, they will challenge even experienced drivers. The design is very simple and very slick, being so small they are very easy to work on. But there are a few problems which I have found; For an xray kit, I was surprised to find that almost all of the main parts are plastic composite and none of the drivetrain was alloy or steel as the other 1/10 and 1/8 kits that Xray is famous for. All other Xray kits had graphite shock towers and aluminium shocks, with metalic gear or alloy ball differentials, and Hudy spring steel CVD shafts. But on the micro cars, they came with composite shock towers, composite shocks, composite differentials, even composite CVDs for a nitro kit. That would not have been a problem if they actually worked. On both my NT18 and NT18T, within two tanks of running, the front swing shafts to the wheel had come off because the plastic gave way to the power of the engine. On the NT18T this had caused the rear ball differential to melt due to the extra strain without the front diff sharing the load. The rear plastic composite gear differential of the NT18 had melted despite grease being applied to them. So to fix the above problems in the drivetrain, you would need to purchase the Atomic alloy ball differential kits, and alloy swing shafts for both front and rear. Not to mention the alloy shock towers and alloy shock bodies for the NT18T, and new Tires and wheels for the NT18 (the foam tires in the kit won't last very long). The servos that come with the power pack fit the car perfectly, as expected from the manufacturer. To say that they accept standard servos are a bit misleading, as the servos for 1/10 or 1/8 cars would not possibly fit in the little radio tray. What they mean is that it will fit other micro servos by other brands. The engine itself is extremely power..
