Having used about 15 of these ESCs in various rock crawlers and some smaller buggy applications, they are brilliant.
The only one that comes close to being better is the 1080 version, if you want to be able to program it.
Apart from that, this is a brilliant ESC, I've had a couple that have been running 2 1/2 years and still going strong!
In a crawler, I'd highly recommend a Castle BEC though for maximum power to your servo.
Dead after 2 month of use with a simple 23T stock tamiya motor ...
No response of Hobbywing after-sale, this esc is simply dead. Bec works and it sends 8V, but when you connect a motor, nothing happens. Very strange...
I have this in my Tamiya XV-01 kit the wires are just long enough to reach the stock motor cables if you place the ESC closer to your servo in the electronics compartment and I haven't had a single issue with it.
Can't complain much for a $20 ESC. One thing to note is that the wires are not easily replaceable if you want to de-solder them to extend/replace as the PCB is filled with waterproofing glue stuck to the lower case.
this ESC work great with my tamiya M06 car . it really small and it fit perfect on it. you can't really put on a fan on it . the wire for the motor are little short so I had to make longer one to reach my motor no big deal. if you brake to hard with esc it will make my M06 spin side way . like the fact that you can use lipo or ni-mh battery and give good power to the motor I am running a Orion 23 turn brush motor. my futaba 4pl transmitter i can set the delay for the reverse so it don't back up really fast when you stop with is nice.
Very nice, factory sealed and genuine with holographic sticker/reg code.
Resurrected my old FF-01 with this, no more hot resistors for me! First time I've had ESC braking feature and I love it. Simple setup and smooth power delivery.
Only minor gripe is switch wiring is a little short (about 6cm) but no big deal. If I keep my other old cars, I will buy more of these 1060s.
