Zap - Zapping --

The practice of applying high voltage (30V to 40V) to cells (batteries) or motor magnets. Zapping cells breaks up crystalline deposits on the separator, which improves internal resistance and performance. Zapping motor magnets increases magnetic field strength. Zapping is usually done at the factory, but there are aftermarket machines available to do your own zapping.
