Tamiya Connector (Plug) - Molex Plug --

You will most likely find this 15 amp plug on the end of the wires of that 2300 mAh battery pack and pre wired ESC you just bought. This may be the standard old school RC electrical connector, and may be refered to as a MOLEX plug (MOLEX is a brand name of a plug manufacturer). Back in the days, TAMIYA connectors worked just fine, but the newer high amp motors and high voltage batteries may melt them during high loads. The most notable feature of this connector is the 2 large, white plugs, which are shaped to prevent accidentally reversing the polarity. A 'male' end slides into a 'female' end, and they are firmly locked together with an integrated clip. That concludes sex ed for the day.
