Mike Truhe put together a fantastic run in the last heat of the day, despite crashing on his first lap Mike Truhe went lightening fast to snatch TQ from Cavalieri. We can officially rename today Truhe Thursday! His TQ dominance today has set the stage for tomorrow’s qualifying showdown. The story of the day has to be Mike Truhe, also nice to see his team mate Adam Drake finally hit the top 10 as well as Jared Tebo. Tyre choice seems to be M3 Pro-Line Holeshots with what we believe the top 10 from Rnd 4 all used bar Yannick. Track today has really improved a great deal, the muddy areas outside the racing line are a bit sticky but drying out, there are a couple of bumps and ruts around the grass bend and sand pit complex.
After 3 rounds Top 5 (counting 3):
1. Ryan Cavalieri
2. Yannik Aigoin
3. Mark Pavidis
4. Miguel Matias
5. Taylor James
So round 3 is done and we are halfway through qualifying already! Mike Truhe is TQ, an epic battle in heat 3 between Wheeler, Lutz, Maifield couldn’ decide the overeall first place position as Mike Truhe snatched TQ from Josh Wheeler, he put together a great run to go 7.5 secs faster than Wheeler.
Today weather looks promising, partly cloudy and temps are rising which should improve the track significantly! With several top drivers having issues in the first two rounds the pressure is really on to do 4 good rounds now.. (4 count, 2 throwout). We have 2 more rounds of quali today, and we will be updating throughout the day, so please stay tuned
