This is very good for the price. I like the colour too. Like what another reviewer said, it's very close to the Tamiya aluminium hop-up blue. The only issue I have with it is that if you look at it from the side cross section view, the bends are not perfect 90 degrees. Could be a one off issue with mine. And for those thinking of using it for 1/10 buggies or anything with more ground clearance, you should buy something taller because your tyres will touch the ground on this.
This setting stand is simple and light weight. Easy to bring around if you need one at the track. Comes with 4 rubber to be stick at the bottom of the setting stand which will make the stand firm on the desk/table. 2 strip of soft thin sponge like to be stick on the top of the stand to protect your chassis from scratching. great to have!!
If you are serious about RC cars, you HAVE to have a setting stand for your car!
It stops the car moving when you are working on it due to the black strips that fit onto the top of the setting stand (they are shown in the picture). These softly cushion and grip your chassis, lifting the wheels away from the floor.
There are also 4 black rubber type dots that fit to the bottom of the setting stand - these protect both the stand and any surface, they also pretty much stop vibration, so it makes the whole setup a little quieter.
It's great for just checking over the drivetrain and running the motor, but I always put my chassis on this whilst I'm working - it gives me more space on my desktop, as I can have my tools right in-front of me.
I run a couple of Tamiya 1/10 touring chassi..
